Hey, I’m finally back from my Northeastern Tour!

I wanted to let you all know that I really really appreciate you all for coming out to support me. It was a tough and cold tour but I wanted to thank you all for making this happen. Obviously, without the support of many of you, I would not be doing this, nor would I have a desire to continue the path of an artist. Thank You!

My tour consisted of DC (Sold Out), New York (Sold out), Philly (Sold Out), Boston, Toronto, and Chicago (Sold Out).

Total Attendance = over 1,000 supporters

DC - I learned that 80% of the people who live there work for the government. Be scared. Haha, kidding, but that was very interesting. I had a great time flying airplanes, going inside the Pentagon, and trying Five Guys for the first time. Special thanks to Jonathan Kim and Jessica Kim. Here’s a video:

New York - I finally tried Chicken and Rice on 6th Street. It was pretty darn good and filling. I want to eat it again! The Highline Ballroom was the largest show of the tour and I was overwhelmed by the support you guys showed me. This tour was a very humbling experience for me! Philly - What can I say, Philly Cheesesteaks in Philly are amazing. In fact, I had Cheesesteaks for lunch AND dinner. Didn’t stay here a long time, but I enjoyed the time I spent there! Special thanks to Elizabeth and Megan for showing us around! Here’s a video:

Boston - We took the Bolt Bus to Boston. Greatest bus ride of my life thanks to the FREE Wi-fi. I recommend the Bolt Bus to EVERYONE. Couldn’t stay here long but I liked how it was clean haha. Special thanks to Brian Chan for helping us navigate through the city. Here’s a video:

Toronto - Did a ton of stuff in T-Dot that I had to make 2 videos showing my experiences! Thanks to Phil Chao, Vobot, and Fiona, we had a great time while being there. Poutine was pretty crazy! The CN Tower was even more crazier with the glass floors. I thought I would wet my pants (good thing I didn’t). Check out the 2 part video here:

Chicago - The last stop. I’m glad the sun followed me where ever I went and it followed me til the end. Giordano’s Pizza was great! Chicago was a nice resting spot for me and I had a great time with Allan Gaston, Marilu, and Elmer. Thanks ya’ll! Here’s the final video:

So I was working on my Facebook Event Pages for my Northeastern Tour coming up in February. It took me a few hours to get them all up to date and ready to publish. When I finished, I decided to check my Facebook profile as I habitually do, and I found Annie Nishida’s comment:

Wow, cool. I decided to check it out for myself

Now I know some people like to make fun of Nick Jonas or have negative things to say about him or the group. But I think a lot of people also have great things to say about him. I actually like his voice. It kind of reminds me of the group Hanson and yes, I liked their music. What can I say, I dig well written pop songs. I think Nick is a pretty good musician, singer, and most of all, a great humanitarian. For those of you who don’t know, Nick has diabetes. I once saw a speech he did (on YouTube) and was impressed with how well spoken he was. I can respect someone who stands up for what they believe in, supports a cause, and takes action.

In the modern age of sex, partying, and materialism, the Jonas Brothers stand as great role models. Yeah, for reals. I don’t see them becoming crack addicts anytime soon. They are well grounded.

So thank you Jonas Brothers for showing the world what kids should grow up to be.

I thought I make a blog post about some videos you might have seen on my channel where I perform songs “Barbershop” style! These videos take a whole lot of time and effort, so I’m glad you guys are enjoying them! As some of you may know, I made a trip out to Korea to do some promotion for my album “Only You”. I had a few song placements in some commercials (Lacvert Make-up, AIA Insurance, & Maxwell Coffee) and was given the opportunity to come out to perform for my supporters out there. I also went to go visit my grandparents (dad’s side) whom I haven’t seen for almost my entire life. It was a very special experience for me and I documented a lot of it for your viewing pleasure!

If you haven’t seen it already, there is now a Music Video for my song “I Can Get Used to This“. It was shot and edited by Jude Weng and her assistant Colin from Brand New Entertainment. If you didn’t notice, I added some iMovie effects of my own haha!

Jude is one of the most awesome, talented, and generous people I know in the entertainment industry. I actually learned quite a lot from her and I have a lot of respect for the woman (She was a show-runner for the hit show “Survivor”). She donated her time and energy to help me create this awesome video which took us approximately half a day to shoot. We went all over town including, Westwood (where UCLA is), her home, and we even shot in the middle of some busy street (I don’t remember where). It was weird for me to have a guitar there and lip-sync as people were walking by!

We had to be sneaky because if any cops saw that we were shooting video, they’d stop us because supposedly, you need a license of some sort when shooting in public places. There is also a scene in the video where I’m riding my bike, and I bet you’re wondering how we got that shot? You’re NOT wondering?!?! Well I’m going to tell you anyways! If you watch 3:39 in the video, you’ll see how we got the shot!

Chloe Temtchine and I met through Brendan Okrent who is the Creative Director at ASCAP. Brendan is one of my most favorite people in this industry because she’s just pure awesomeness. Anyways, Brendan hooked up a co-write between me and Chloe. I had total faith that it would turn out successful because every time Brendan paired me with someone, I had a blast and it always worked out.

Well, it worked.

We wrote “So Systematic” in a sketchy Hollywood motel she was staying at, and following that song, we wrote another one called “Write Me a Letter Soon”. She was only staying in Los Angeles for a short time, so we had to hurry up to record these songs before she went back to New York. We managed to write and record both songs, which I love.
