Hey, I’m finally back from my Northeastern Tour!

I wanted to let you all know that I really really appreciate you all for coming out to support me. It was a tough and cold tour but I wanted to thank you all for making this happen. Obviously, without the support of many of you, I would not be doing this, nor would I have a desire to continue the path of an artist. Thank You!

My tour consisted of DC (Sold Out), New York (Sold out), Philly (Sold Out), Boston, Toronto, and Chicago (Sold Out).

Total Attendance = over 1,000 supporters

DC - I learned that 80% of the people who live there work for the government. Be scared. Haha, kidding, but that was very interesting. I had a great time flying airplanes, going inside the Pentagon, and trying Five Guys for the first time. Special thanks to Jonathan Kim and Jessica Kim. Here’s a video:

New York - I finally tried Chicken and Rice on 6th Street. It was pretty darn good and filling. I want to eat it again! The Highline Ballroom was the largest show of the tour and I was overwhelmed by the support you guys showed me. This tour was a very humbling experience for me! Philly - What can I say, Philly Cheesesteaks in Philly are amazing. In fact, I had Cheesesteaks for lunch AND dinner. Didn’t stay here a long time, but I enjoyed the time I spent there! Special thanks to Elizabeth and Megan for showing us around! Here’s a video:

Boston - We took the Bolt Bus to Boston. Greatest bus ride of my life thanks to the FREE Wi-fi. I recommend the Bolt Bus to EVERYONE. Couldn’t stay here long but I liked how it was clean haha. Special thanks to Brian Chan for helping us navigate through the city. Here’s a video:

Toronto - Did a ton of stuff in T-Dot that I had to make 2 videos showing my experiences! Thanks to Phil Chao, Vobot, and Fiona, we had a great time while being there. Poutine was pretty crazy! The CN Tower was even more crazier with the glass floors. I thought I would wet my pants (good thing I didn’t). Check out the 2 part video here:

Chicago - The last stop. I’m glad the sun followed me where ever I went and it followed me til the end. Giordano’s Pizza was great! Chicago was a nice resting spot for me and I had a great time with Allan Gaston, Marilu, and Elmer. Thanks ya’ll! Here’s the final video:

Q: How long have you been playing guitar?

A: I have been playing guitar since I was 16. I learned chords from friends and I also figured them out using my ear. I took one guitar lesson in my life from Ken Song (amazing jazz guitarist! He can play anything!). I learn best by ear.

Q: Can you do a cover of _______ in your next video?

A: Honestly, I choose songs based on whether I like them or feel like it’s a challenge. Sometimes, I choose certain songs because I like to do a variety and mix it up. I know people don’t like some of the songs I cover, but truthfully, I don’t really care. Music is objective and everyone has their own taste. I do check up occasionally on requests made through my forums. You can request here. I like to have fun too!

Q: What do you use to make your videos?

A: I use iMovie most of the time. Sometimes, I use my FlipHD. How I achieve good sound is through my equipment which I list below. Sometimes, I just use my built-in MacBook Pro mic. It all depends on how I feel at the moment.

I thought I’d give you guys an update on what’s going on in my life.

Here’s the latest.

- I’m trying to book gigs in Chicago, LA, Canada, and maybe New York and Seattle. It’s tough because none of the venues reply back, but I’m going to keep asking around. If any of you know booking agents or venue owners, please pass their info on to me!

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop has passed away. I started listening to him in late high school, maybe even after high school. I have a lot of great memories listening to his music. I didn’t realize how much of an effect he had on my life until he was gone. I remember days when I’d listen to his music in my car and sing my heart out. The Jackson 5 stuff always put me in a positive mood! It’s amazing how music can change the course of how your day will turn out. I even wanted to see him perform live one day, but that dream can no longer come true. There is a LOT running through my mind about the whole situation and I’m trying hard to think about the positive things. I can’t help but also think about the negativity that surrounded his life.

The media was cruel to Michael. Having experienced what little fame I have, I can’t even start to imagine how hard it must have been for him. To have to listen to and read rumors that aren’t true. To have people follow your every move. It must have been a pain to always have to defend your every action. Sure, we all make mistakes in life, but if you’re Michael, one mistake, and the world is there to judge in an instant. Especially now with the Internet, word travels extremely fast.

We are so brainwashed and accepting from the media! When TMZ reported that Michael Jackson died, I refused to believe that because I needed the information from more sources. I didn’t let my mind believe JUST because they said something. Some people are quick to believe EVERYTHING put out by ANY source. Especially a stupid company like TMZ. You HAVE to be an immoral person to work for that company. There’s no way you could feel great about your job. It’s pitiful. OK, I admit that I have gone to their websites on a couple occasions and done some “immediate” judging of the people in the video, but I caught myself and asked “what am I doing”? I tell people not to be judgmental, yet here I go about doing the very act I despise and preach against.

Yes, I’m a hypocrite, but we all are. The thing that sets you apart is that you’re a person who tries not to be as opposed to a person that doesn’t care. We should all try to achieve more in ourselves and become better people in all aspects of life.

Going back to Michael. I believe that the constant harassing of the media contributed to Michael’s bad health. How can it not? Sometimes (rarely), I can read a comment on one of my videos that can put me in a bad mood for an entire day. (I’m getting better about it though). Michael got that times a thousand since he was a KID. I feel bad that he left the world this way. It’s not fair.

I guess we can say that Michael can finally rest in peace. Here’s a video of basically what I said here.
