“That Girl” Behind the Scenes

At the end of March/early April, Wong Fu Productions and I got back together for a SECOND time to work on a music video for my new single, “That Girl”. The shoot went on for 4 days and it was tough because there was a lot of traveling involved, but we all made it through and had a lot of fun!! I’m so proud of them and very lucky to be able to work with such talented and amazing people!! Thanks to the beautiful Julia Chang for playing the role as “That Girl” and the awesome Bobby Leung for taking productions photos!

      I was working out there the day they shot this (of course, we didn’t know they were shooting a video, or that they were going off trail and trampling the flora ^_-). The place is Wind Wolves Preserve. It is one of the properties run by The Wildlands Conservancy. 

      There are no wolves there. The California white wolves were driven into extinction awhile ago, just as the California Grizzly (which is on the state flag). ‘Wind Wolves’ are the spirits of those wolves running on the wind, with the wind, through the tall grasses and wildflowers (that were being mercilessly squashed. )

    Interesting song! This song reminds me of my previous ex, where we lived with each other for a few years and she went long distance to study. In a couple years we broke it off. She moved on quite quickly and it took me about 4 to 5 years to get back in the dating scene. I’m now engaged with the love of my life but I can relate to this in the way that even though that ex is long gone, the memories are still powerful. They still linger. They are part of me.
