David Choi's "My Time With You" Featured in Netflix Original Finding 'Ohana

LOS ANGELES - David Choi and Kina Grannis’ original song “My Time With You” was featured on the soundtrack of the Netflix original film Finding ‘Ohana, released globally on January 29, 2021.

Directed by Jude Weng, Finding 'Ohana follows two siblings from Brooklyn who spend the summer in rural O‘ahu. After discovering an old journal in a cave, they set off on a treasure hunt that connects them to their Hawaiian roots and family history. The film quickly gained popularity on the platform and ranked among the top 8 percent of Netflix’s most-watched titles worldwide.

“My Time With You,” originally written by Choi and Grannis for a JC Penney campaign in 2008, was newly produced for the film and performed by members of the Finding ‘Ohana cast. The song was reimagined for the movie while keeping the heart of the original composition.
